I’m Morgan (she/her) and I am a recovering overthinker. In my quest to get out of my head and into my body I have become a yoga teacher (vinyasa, prenatal, trauma-informed, and yoga nidra), Soma+IQ breathwork facilitator, and budding somatic mental health therapist.
I am an ex Mormon mental health practitioner who specializes in spiritual reintegration after religious, spiritual and patriarchal abuse.
I have been a part of ex Mormon forums and communities for over ten years now and witnessed a consistent pattern. First, we break free from the oppression of the church, then move through a period of atheism/nihilism. Years down the road, we often face a reckoning with this nihilistic view. We find ourselves wanting spirituality in a new form, but not trusting spirituality after the abuse of the religious institution. I’m here for that phase.
Breathwork, yoga, and meditation are a few of many spiritual rituals you can use to reestablish a spiritual path on your own terms. Each practice invites an inner journey with messages from your own body, spirit, and awareness. True spirituality cannot be gate kept by a leader, organization, or framework. There are many, many correct paths back to your inner knowing but the essential word is inner knowing. Breathwork is an incredible first step on your spiritual journey of quieting your mind so your body and soul can speak the truths you’ve always known but learned to ignore.
My work is queer-affirming, anti-capitalist, and spiritually inclusive. I offer breathwork, trauma-informed yoga, and group experiences for people ready to live your life instead of performing it.
